What to Expect During Your First Veterinary Visit
1. Arriving at Our Clinic
We request that you arrive 10 minutes early to fill out our New Patient Form or fill it out online in advance.
One of our team members will be sure to greet you upon your arrival, and you will be guided to an exam room and seen as soon as the veterinarian becomes available. We strive to see all clients and companions on time.
2. Curbside Service Option
If your pet has mobility issues, you can request our curbside appointment option for certain services. One of our veterinary team members can meet you outside at your car when you arrive.
This allows us to assess your pet or administer certain medications while your furry friend remains comfortable. We will then continue with care at your vehicle or assist you with bringing your pet inside the clinic.
3. Meet Your Furry Friend's New Veterinarian
You will meet the veterinarian and they will become acquainted with your companion. They will discuss your furry companion's previous medical history and any concerns you have. You are also welcome to ask any questions you may have during this time.
4. Exam, Diagnosis & Treatment
Your pet will now be seen for a physical examination where your veterinarian will look them over from nose to tail. They will then discuss any nutritional concerns they have related to your furry friend and provide dietary advice. Your pet will also have a behavioural evaluation, and if necessary we will offer a referral to a trainer.
Once all aspects of the wellness exam are complete, we will provide you with the next steps or a diagnosis and options for treatment. This will include the creation of a chart outlining your pet's treatment plan. We will keep this information on hand for future visits.
